It all began in August 1981 at 140 Park St., when Scarpellino's Sub Shop first opened its doors. After nine great years in this location, the building was sold and we had to move. After extensive renovations to the former Weinstein Shoe Store at 204 College St. Scarpellino's re-opened in February of 1990. The next 17 years were awesome, but that building was sold, and on May 3, 2007 we were forced to close our doors for good. The four years that followed were the worst years of my life. We moved to Florida, and I was no longer doing what I loved. After a few years we decided to move back. Now! At 257 Forbes Ave. at the corner of Fulton St. in New Haven, we are back in action! Opening on July 18th, 2011. Along with my beutiful wife Luann, we will be serving all the great food you remember over the past 27 years at the new...SCARPELLINO'S RESTAURANT & Catering. Stop by Mon.-Fri. 5:30 am - 3:00 pm (Closed Saturday and Sunday). Our new location is bigger and better; enjoy our dining room with all my favorite Sinatra memorabilia and of course, sinatra music playing all day long. Finally, our dream has become a reality. Remember that we do cater, so if you have an event of any size or just need a couple of trays, give us a call!
